Elementary P.E. Assessment
In a course I took while at Penn State, I was fortunate enough to teach P.E. to 3rd graders over a four week period. I taught once a week at Park Forest Elementary School in the State College Area School District. In the time I spent there I taught lessons that covered dance, change of direction, striking with implements, and batting. On the last lesson (4th lesson) I gave a brief and simple assessment to the children on striking with implements. The objective of this lesson was to see if the students had learn the proper cues and form for striking. The assessment had students locate and mark were they thought the "sweet spot" of a paddle or racket is.
