High School P.E. Lesson Plans
Below are lesson plans I created and taught to my peers for a teaching course I took during my time at Penn State. The two lessons were on team and individual sports, with my golf lesson being my individual sport and Rugby being my team sport. My fellow colleagues responded well to my lesson with lots of enthusiasm and active participation.
I focused on the basic skills of rugby: passing, kicking, rules of the game, and game play.

My golf lesson focused on swing progression, proper grip, and putting. Towards the end of the lesson everyone played a round on a par 3 golf course using the skills they previously learned from my lesson.

These lesson plans below are from my professional/student teaching semester at State College Area High School. I instructed 3 different units over the course of my placement: Fitness, Volleyball, and Archery. Below you will find 2 showcase lessons from each of the 3 units.

These two lesson plans below I taught to 11th and 12th grade students at State College High School. The first lesson is a weight and cardio unit. For my teaching purposes, I developed a weight circuit for the students to complete. I implemented both lower and upper body exercises so students could experience a full body workout.
The next lesson is on tennis. I concentrated on the students' serving skills as well as consistently making a legal serve. The main activity of the lesson was a game called King of the Court which students seemed to enjoy.
